We had another amazing term with Karen the Sturge-Weber Foundation and her team. Karen always brings the course energy, valuable knowledge, and professional experience to the team project. Karen and her team always provide unlimited access for the students to hold team meetings, review their website, learn more about their business partners, and clarify their project charter. The Sturge-Weber Foundation team always helps create a positive learning environment for our students’ teams to ensure project success. Karen the Sturge-Weber Foundation created a great learning environment for our Strayer students and provided a friendly working atmosphere that was both positive and productive. Karen always works closely with the individual teams and holds productive group meetings on Zoom that were very productive for examining for examining the scope of the client project. Karen the Sturge-Weber Foundation encourages creativity and allows the students to incorporate the proven strategies and tactics associated with the weekly course topics. One of the primary objectives of this course design is to give students the opportunity to work in a team environment and implement project management strategies into a group project. Karen and the entire Sturge-Weber Foundation team are always available to help the students achieve these course objectives, This was a great learning experience for the Strayer students and created a win-win scenario to work on a challenging team project that provided real world solutions for our business partner. The Riipen program brings a new dimension to the student learning process. The Sturge-Weber Foundation team created a strong working dynamic that provided the Strayer students with a powerful learning opportunity that they can draw from in their future careers. It has been a pleasure working with Karen and her team members at the Sturge-Weber foundation again this term. Karen has an amazing gift to connect with the student team members and inspire them to actively participate in a real client project. She always creates a welcoming environment that invites students to student engagement and lines up well with the course design, team strategy, and project management practices. Over the past several terms, we have developed a special partnership with the Sturge-Weber foundation that has created a win, win, win experience for our students, for this program, and I hope for the Sturge-Weber foundation. Karen and the team at Sturge-Weber are always actively involved with the student team members and provide the necessary guidance and feedback to ensure a successful project solution. Karen meets with each team in week 2 to provide a detailed overview of her organization and the value they provide to families, medical professionals, and now to our students. The project deliverables provide the students teams with a challenging opportunity to work with a Non-Profit organization and help Karen and her team meet the new challenges associated with a digital world. It is always a pleasure working with Karen and the Sturge-Weber team and we look forward to working with them again during our Winter term of 2024.
