Zero Subsidy Affordable Housing - Strategy Design

PROJECT DESCRIPTION Homebuyers today purchase 100% of a home, and borrow money using a mortgage to afford to do so. This conventional purchase masks that two things are bought at the same time: 100% of the use of the home (use value) and 100% of the future sale price of a home (so-called appreciation value). We propose to partner with families so they may buy only the percentage of appreciation value that they can afford. Our goal is to create an organization that will secure stable access to homes, provide opportunity to families to take an equity share with the prospect of appreciation, while ameliorating a cause of homelessness in dense, coastal urban regions, specifically the SF Bay Area, New York City and Seattle. The key to establishing this organization is to develop a strategic plan for engaging Impact Investors, Lenders & Municipal governmental to provide the initial investments needed to get the program off the ground. the program. The strategy to be developed needs to address the needs & goals of existing and future fractional homeowner-occupiers. We need help with creating a strategic plan to guide and coordinate our on-going efforts KEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES: Meet with key members of the ZSAH team and review our current thinking and progress to date Evaluate viability of the concept and identify areas that need further research and analysis Develop a strategy for how to move the project forward to gain initial funding Coordinate efforts of other ZSAH related teams to support the strategy NICE TO HAVE: Quantitative analysis to support the proposed strategy IDEAL ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Management Business Strategist Communication/Marketing Financial Analyst FINAL PROJECT DELIVERABLES: Executive Summary / White Paper describing ZSAH objectives & strategy Formal business strategy document aimed at key potential stakeholders Condensed business strategy presentation (PowerPoint...) for potential investors High level project sequencing plan with key milestones and dependencies IN WHAT LANGUAGE WILL THIS PROJECT BE PROVIDED: English (US) All projects will begin on a first come, first serve basis, which cohorts are you + your team ABLE to participate in?
