This internship experience is designed for undergraduate Business and Management students who are eager to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world organizational setting. Over the course of 80 hours, learners will immerse themselves in a company of their choice, engaging in projects that enhance their understanding of business operations and management strategies. Students will focus on achieving specific learning outcomes and producing tangible deliverables that demonstrate their ability to integrate academic concepts with practical applications.

Champlain College experienced MBA students are poised to take on your project with a systems-thinking mindset, adeptness in tackling contemporary business challenges, and the readiness to lead across diverse organizational roles. Our students are primed to excel in real-world settings through Action Research, and they are eager to work alongside you and others in your organization to address your business opportunities and challenges. The Champlain Approach: By partnering with us, you'll collaborate with professional MBA students who engage in hands-on learning within a group dynamic, guided and supervised by experienced faculty members. The central goal of this partnership is to align their acquired competencies in all Business disciplines using Champlain’s unique Areas of MBA Practice model, delivering tailored solutions to your unique challenges from a truly broad MBA perspective. Our aim is not merely transactional; we envision meaningful mentorship and organizational connections through Action Research that fosters deep learning experiences for our students and your organization. This course runs up to six terms per year (approximately every eight weeks) and is dependent on enrollment. If there are not enough students, we will postpone until the following term. How It Works: Submit a Match Request: Provide details about your business challenge and project via the Riipen platform. Student Match: Our faculty will thoughtfully match your project with student groups best suited for your needs based on their expertise and interests. Engagement Phase: Students collaborate with you to craft and present strategic recommendations within a defined timeline. Final Deliverables: You'll receive a comprehensive business strategy proposal supported by meticulous research and insightful analysis.

Action Research to Facilitate a Positive Organizational Culture
MGMT 590
Do you have an idea for organizational change or a human resource related project that needs an extra boost? Do you have projects that could be accelerated by mature working professionals completing their graduate studies in leadership and organizational change? Can your Human Resource Department use some assistance in moving ahead with initiatives needing experienced support? Anything is possible by partnering with our graduate students from both our Masters in Executive Leadership (MSEL) and Organization Development and Human Relations (ODHR) programs . This course runs up to six terms per year (approximately every eight weeks) and is dependent on enrollment. If there are not enough students, we will postpone until the following term. Our graduate students are working professionals who are enrolled in an online graduate program for which they are required to complete a final “capstone” project. While most students complete projects at their place of employment, some prefer to do a project in a new industry or special area of interest. Their skills: Project assessment and recommendations for any organizational initiative, Project development, Strengths-based models of management, Application of distributed leadership methodologies, Action Research to a selected project, Secondary and Qualitative research How It Works: Submit a Match Request : Provide details about your potential project via the Riipen platform.
