audio editing podcasting splicingWe are seeking a student to help us edit our student-produced podcast. A small team of student podcasters create audio stories about topics that are important to students, interviews with artists, educators, activists, and the occasional soundscape or experimental audio piece. Our podcast has been broadcast on the U of T radio station, CIUT FM, and we hope this years's season will be too. Our podcast is distributed on all of the usual platforms and through Hart House U of T channels. Help us to create compelling audio stories and be a part of our team with your great audio editing skills!
This job can be done remotely.
If you like the sound of this project and have the skills to help us, we'd love to hear from you.
To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will:
- a strong command of REAPER for audio editing, splicing, mixing and enhancements
- meet regularly and work collaboratively with Podcasting team through rough edit to final edit
- output final edits, label and upload to our server
- isolate short audio excerpts for use on social media
- ensure a high quality of audio outputs
- work successfully to deadline
Students will meet weekly with the podcasting team and supervisor to go over new projects. Supervisor is available for questions and direction. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks can be made if necessary.
