MentaMorph Money is a multi-scenario mobile financial game to practice financial decisions where it isn’t boring, scary or costly to make mistakes. Players make multiple concurrent decisions in rounds like in real life. Through the games, debrief discussions and other activities, participants quickly and effectively gain distinctions on strategies for financial success.

The game uses a cross-platform application on the PC, iOS, Mac and Android, and is developed in Unity. It is played in rounds with decisions about income, expenses, assets, debts, and emergencies.

A database is needed to collect actions during the game and create an instructor dashboard as well as analyze the behavior data; metrics such as # of games completed, net worth scores per round, improvement in net worth, time to complete, increased use of savings, investments, passive income, reduced passive expense, loans to pay expenses and more for analyzing financial behaviors.

Assess the data created from the game.

Create the database to collect it.

Define a dashboard design to present the data during the game for the instructor to monitor progress.

Create summary statistics and reports.

Determine other data analytics to best assess performance and behaviors in the game.

As on past projects, we will establish a weekly time to be available to answer questions and provide information as needed.

We will provide access to the MentaMorph game, and to an initial database design structure.
