Players make multiple concurrent decisions in rounds like in real life. Through the games, debrief discussions and other activities, participants quickly and effectively gain distinctions on strategies for financial success.
The game uses a cross-platform application on the PC, iOS, Mac and Android, and is developed in Unity. It is played in rounds with decisions about income, expenses, assets, debts, and emergencies. There are multiple scenarios and increasing levels of complexity.
New functions are required for 1) purchasing a car and 2) buying a house. It must start with the "Candy Crush for financial education" simplicity while adding the complexity needed to thoroughly cover the functions
Understand the current game design and philosophy.
Define the financial structures:
1) Auto purchase initial costs, operating costs and then financing. Include options for new, used, electric, hybrid and ride share
2) Real estate, similar to above, plus options for home improvements, market changes, rental property, and prep for the next phase of taxes
Create draft of screen flow using wireframes or other method
Create a sample set of data and test case for validation of design
Establish a weekly time to be available to answer questions and provide information as needed.
Provide access to the MentaMorph game, workshop content, and guidance on design
Provide insights on game design and analysis and MentaMorph philosophy

MentaMorph Money is a mobile game and workshops to practice financial decisions where it isn't boring, scary or costly to make mistakes. Income Statements, Balance Sheets and graphs display progress and results and measure improvement. Educational content is paired with the game for participants to quickly and effectively gain distinctions on strategies for financial success.
