This MBA level class immerses learners in the dynamic field of social impact consulting, where they will collaborate in small teams to tackle real-world scaling challenges faced by social enterprises. By applying design thinking, analytical skills, and social enterprise scaling tools, learners will develop strategies to enhance the sustainability and impact of these organizations. This hands-on experience allows learners to bridge classroom knowledge with practical application, preparing them to deliver actionable solutions to social enterprises seeking sustainable growth.

Student teams are generally made up of approximately 6 members who are upper division students in our Knauss School of Business University of san Diego. The most common majors of students are: marketing, business administration, finance, business analytics, real estate and international business. As a Knauss School of Business faculty member, I oversee all student projects. LEARNER SKILLS Marketing research, Business consulting, Business strategy, Marketing strategy, Data analysis DELIVERABLES We work with different company types and across a wide variety of industries. The potential deliverables are many, as long as they are relevant to an undergraduate business student and are one semester in duration.

Looking to elevate your organization and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from the University of San Diego to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one main project over the course of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students in this Capstone Projects course will apply data analytics tools, strategies, and concepts to a data analytics project for a company that has agreed to participate. Each group will choose a project to work on throughout the course. During the first two weeks of the course – different topics relevant to completing the required project work in this course will be explored.
