Data Science for Business Consultancy Project

This course gives the MSc Data Science for Business students the opportunity to work on a project which require the demonstration of their ability to conduct independent consultancy project drawing on their education throughout the programme. The module develops student skills to work as a consultant. The students in their final semester will spend circa 24 weeks March to August working with your organisation on a management challenge or opportunity including areas such as process improvement, competitive assessment, optimisation, demand management, pricing, customer analytics, operations and other areas developing a solution for your analytical challenge using data science and analytics. In this project, our students can develop solutions and recommendations to solve your analytical challenge.
Data Science for Business Capstone Consultancy Project

This course gives the MSc Data Science for Business students the opportunity to work on a Capstone project which require the demonstration of their ability to conduct independent consultancy project drawing on their education throughout the programme. The module develops student skills to work as a consultant. The students in their final semester will spend circa 12 weeks (from June to August) working with your organisation on a management challenge or opportunity including areas such as process improvement, competitive assessment, optimisation, demand management, pricing, customer analytics, operations and other areas developing a solution for your analytical challenge using data science and analytics. In this capstone project, our students can develop solutions and recommendations to solve your analytical challenge.

This course focuses on developing an understanding of complex issues in innovation management - from creating early stages through to market adoption and economic development. Innovation and managing new technologies are vital components of a firm's success and profitability. Students can examine organisational systems, structures and processes for innovative capacity, and develop the analytical tools for technology forecasting and road-mapping. Students can help your organisation identify: appropriate framework to explore creative idea/concept; development of critical success factors linked to technological, market, financial and/or intellectual property diffusion barriers; and develop credible strategy to help your organisation make critical improvements when a new technology is introduced.
