We are looking for a researcher who will work with our team to identify accommodations available for workers with disabilities. The intern will investigate the myriad of accommodations which support workers with disabilities and develop a list which covers all relevant workplace accommodations. ElderConnect: A Web Application for Senior Mobility and Companionship

The project aims to develop a user-friendly web application, ElderConnect, designed to bridge the gap between elderly individuals and reliable drivers or companions. Many seniors face challenges in maintaining their independence due to mobility issues or the need for companionship. This project addresses these challenges by creating a platform that allows seniors to easily connect with vetted drivers and companions for their daily needs, such as medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social outings. The application will feature a simple interface tailored to the elderly, ensuring ease of use. Key functionalities will include user registration, profile management, service request posting, and a review system to ensure quality and trust. The goal is to enhance the quality of life for seniors by providing them with a reliable support network, thereby promoting independence and social engagement.

Healthcare Engagement Insights Analysis

Involve Canada seeks to enhance public involvement in healthcare decision-making by analyzing survey data from patients and stakeholders. The project aims to uncover key insights that will inform future engagement and policy initiatives. Learners will apply their analytical skills to interpret survey results, identifying trends and patterns that highlight areas for improvement in public involvement. The project will involve data cleaning, statistical analysis, and the synthesis of findings into coherent narratives. By translating complex data into understandable insights, the project will support Involve Canada in making informed decisions that enhance public participation in healthcare. The ultimate goal is to provide actionable recommendations that align with Involve Canada's mission to foster inclusive and effective healthcare policies.
