This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Researching and analyzing the current competitive landscape in Ontario for similar apps or services.
- Conducting market research to understand the demand and competition in B.C., New York, and California.
- Identifying key competitors and their strengths and weaknesses in each market.
- Analyzing market trends and consumer behavior in each of the target markets.
By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:
- A comprehensive report on the competitive landscape in Ontario, B.C., New York, and California.
- Identification of key competitors and their market positioning in each location.
- Analysis of market trends and consumer behavior in the target markets.
- Recommendations for potential market entry strategies based on the competitive landscape analysis.
Final deliverables:
- A detailed report with findings and recommendations.
The student will have weekly one on one meetings with their supervisor. They receive basic training on conducting competitor analysis, and have frequent check ins to review their work. They will receive constructive criticism, praise for what they are doing well, and be given instruction on how to improve. Their manager will also be available for any of their questions through Slack at any time.
