Details

The Transit Museum Society (TMS) is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich history of public transit. However, the organization faces challenges in attracting visitors and increasing public awareness. The goal of this project is to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy that will enhance TMS's visibility, engage the community, and boost visitor numbers. Learners will apply their classroom knowledge of marketing principles, digital media, and strategic planning to create a targeted and effective marketing plan. The project will involve market research, audience analysis, and the development of promotional materials. By the end of the project, the team will present a cohesive strategy that TMS can implement to achieve its marketing objectives.

Deliverables

The project deliverables will include a detailed marketing strategy document, a presentation summarizing the strategy, and a set of promotional materials. Specifically, the deliverables are:

- A comprehensive marketing strategy document outlining goals, target audience, tactics, and metrics for success.

- A PowerPoint presentation summarizing the key points of the strategy.

- Sample promotional materials such as social media posts, flyers, and email newsletters.

Mentorship

We are a 100% volunteer organization however our Board of Directors is a "working board" meaning the 8 directors specialize in various aspects of the museum. We would make ourselves available to learners. We encourage students to view our artifacts and collections and get a first hand idea of how we operate.
