New Step 4 U gives people-in-need opportunities to find their voices through creative arts.
Our mission is to help, guide and connect people who are facing a difficult time in their lives through healing art workshops and projects.
We promote the mental health of Canadians through the arts by carrying out customized creative, interactive art programs, workshops and projects for the benefit of individuals who are facing difficult life situations.
New Step for You is looking for an unpaid Creative Writer and Public Communication Coordinator who will take ownership of the New Step for You blog posts, white papers, product descriptions, social media content and web copy. Coordinate activities among various stakeholders, and ensure we are investing in creating content that grows and inspires our community. The role will also involve having strategic oversight over the content calendar and editorial process as well as potentially writing articles and leading our SEO strategy.
How students can help our organization:
- Writing creative and accurate marketing or catalogue copy, product description
- Developing a content strategy and prioritizing blog topics
· Managing a content calendar and ensuring posts go out on schedule
· Guiding the coordination between the research, writing, and social media teams
· Optimizing content for SEO and lead generation
It is a great opportunity to build experience within an arts organization and gain valuable experience in the marketing field, and the ability to build networks of contacts for future employment opportunities.
About the company
New Step for You (NS4U) is a not-for-profit organization that empowers individuals living with social, cognitive, physical, and/or emotional needs through Expressive Art programs and Community Art Projects.
Over the last two years, NS4U has partnered with more than 52 community organizations within the GTA to provide physical, mental and emotional healing to citizens through unique methods that include the use of innovative art tools such as 3D printing pens, digital art and virtual reality. NS4U has consistently delivered large-scale community projects that have empowered the vulnerable population, allowed individuals to heal and transform their lives through the medium of art, fostering a sense of security and well-being. Till date, NS4U has enriched the lives of over 3000 individuals in the GTA area through their unique programming.
