Details

Calgary Dollars (C$) is passionate about local resilience and circular economy. We โ€‹โ€‹want to increase awareness about our program.

We would like to work with students to design a campaign that raises awareness about C$ and encourages micro-small businesses, vendors and entrepreneurs to join. In collaboration with key contacts at our organization, students will design and carry out a campaign strategy around Calgary Dollars.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Familiarizing themselves with Calgary Dollars, our programs and goals.
  • Familiarizing themselves with ideal outcomes and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identifying how to target small Calgary businesses, vendors and entrepreneurs
  • Identifying potential sponsors and partners who can support our campaign.
  • Creating a promotion and marketing plan.
  • Assisting in the development of digital marketing, social media content, e-leaflets, posters, videos, and / or templates.
Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Understanding of the Calgary Dollars, our programs and goals
  • Understanding of ideal outcomes and KPIs
  • Identification of how to target small businesses, vendors and entreprenuers
  • Identification of sponsors and partners

Final deliverables should include

  • Creation of a marketing plan
  • Designing digital promotional materials for our campaign
  • Outreach to target audience (emailing and calling)
  • A 5-minute presentation.
  • Social media posts, a promotional email
  • Social media reels and videos
  • A final feedback report.

Bonus:

  • additional digital content such as reels or short videos
Mentorship

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Our organizationโ€™s mission and goals
  • Our awareness campaigns
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
  • Regular checkins and meetings
