We are seeking passionate students to join us as Analysts for a project focused on creating an accurate and dynamic sales forecast. This role combines the principles of sustainable business with strategic planning, offering a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on a growing brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sustainability Metrics Analysis: Evaluate organizational practices, including small-batch production and ethical sourcing, to identify their impact on sales and inventory planning.
  • Data Review: Analyze historical sales trends, comparing previous forecasts to actual results, and identify opportunities for improved alignment.
  • Predictive Sales Modeling: Develop a two-year sales forecast that incorporates monthly projections, potential market shifts, and growth opportunities.
  • Scenario Planning: Create conservative and aggressive sales predictions to guide resource allocation and inventory decisions.
  • Comprehensive Reporting: Present research, analysis, and the final sales forecast in a clear, actionable report that integrates insights into our sustainable production model.

Deliverables

Sales Data and Organizational Analysis Brief

  • Task: Review SINGLA’s key operational assets, including current inventory practices, pricing strategies, and promotional efforts. Summarize the findings.
  • Deliverable: A 2 page brief summarizing SINGLA’s internal assets and their impact on sales performance.

Historical Sales Trend Insights

  • Task: Analyze historical sales data and identify key trends (e.g., seasonality, product popularity, and performance vs. forecasts).
  • Deliverable: A 1 page report or slide deck highlighting key sales patterns and actionable insights from past data.

Simplified Predictive Sales Forecast

  • Task: Develop a streamlined predictive sales model for the next year (12-month projections) with conservative and aggressive growth scenarios.
  • Deliverable: A spreadsheet or simple model with monthly sales projections and accompanying notes on methodology.

Market Snapshot

  • Task: Conduct a brief market analysis focusing on 1-2 external factors (e.g., competitor pricing or recent market shifts) that could influence sales.
  • Deliverable: A one-page snapshot with summarized insights and implications for SINGLA.

Final Summary and Presentation

  • Task: Compile the findings into a concise, actionable report and deliver a short presentation of results and recommendations.
