Details

The main goal for the project is to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan for NoMoBO's new sustainable product line, with the help of McMaster University marketing students. The students will be expected to conduct market research, analyze the competitive landscape, and develop marketing strategies to increase awareness and drive sales of the new product line. By the end of the project, we expect to have a detailed marketing plan that outlines target audiences, messaging, budget, timelines, and tactics for launching and promoting the new product line. Ultimately, we hope to increase brand awareness and drive sales of our sustainable solutions, while providing the students with valuable real-world marketing experience.

Deliverables

To achieve the project goal, the students will need to complete the following tasks:

  1. Conduct market research to identify target audiences, their needs, and preferences
  2. Analyze the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and challenges
  3. Develop a comprehensive marketing plan, including budget and timelines
  4. Develop messaging and creative assets that resonate with the target audience
  5. Identify and prioritize marketing tactics, including social media, email marketing, PR, influencer outreach, and events
  6. Develop a launch plan, including launch timing, promotional activities, and sales incentives
  7. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the marketing plan, making adjustments as needed based on performance metrics.

Throughout the project, the students will need to work collaboratively in small teams, communicate regularly with NoMoBO's staff, and follow best practices in marketing and project management.

Mentorship

We will support students in completing the project by providing the following:

  1. Dedicated staff time: NoMoBO's staff will be available to liaise with the course instructor and student teams to answer questions, provide additional information, and provide feedback on project deliverables.
  2. Access to data and information: We will provide students with access to relevant data and information about our products, competitors, and market trends to facilitate their research and analysis.
  3. Regular check-ins: We will schedule regular check-ins with the student teams and instructor to ensure that progress is on track, and provide feedback and guidance as needed.
  4. Collaboration and networking opportunities: We will offer opportunities for students to collaborate with each other and NoMoBO's staff, as well as network with other marketing professionals in the industry.
