Learner goals and capabilities

ME-487 and ME 4888 are a two-course sequence in Engineering Design, students will establish important features of the machine, system, or process to be designed, perform market analysis, establish design objectives, explore alternatives, conduct research, specify constraints.

The course provides a student experience equivalent to an entry level engineering job. Students will manage and complete a design project. This serves as a transition between what is learned in college and “real life” engineering.
