The digital golf course management market is rapidly growing and we want to ensure we understand the appeal our competitors hold to consumers and potential consumers in our market (SAAS). This will help us develop clarity on our competitive advantages and optimize our marketing strategy. We would like to collaborate with students to conduct a competitive analysis of our business. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our company, products, and target market. Identifying current and potential future competitors. Creating a matrix identifying features that are similar and different between companies. Summarizing our competitive advantages and disadvantages relative to the competition identified. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending how our company can differentiate itself through products / services and messaging..
Customer Journey Mapping
Our company is a software as a service so often times we only hear from customers when they have an issue. The main problem we are trying to solve is to improve our understanding of user experiences. We would like to understand our strengths and areas of improvement from a customer perspective. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Conducting background research on customer journey mapping, our products and customers. Analyzing customer responses from surveys and interviews. Analyze our current customer onboarding process and timeline. Defining the phases and touchpoints of the purchasing process. Incorporating user actions, emotions, goals, and pain points in the customer journey map. Proposing solutions to minimize pain points while meeting business goals. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Developing multiple customer journey maps to account for different experiences and paths.
Loyalty Program
We provide a full family of features to golf courses to assist with managing their course and providing golfers the best customer experience possible! We want to create a loyalty program that serves both golf courses and golfers. We would like to collaborate with students to develop a loyalty program. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our target market, products and services. Identifying customer actions to be rewarded and types of rewards. Recommending ways to market the program and enroll more customers. Identifying possible partnerships for more attractive offers. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending ways to gamify our loyalty program.
Market Expansion Research
At InteGolf, we currently exist in the Canadian market, but we believe we are ready to take our business to the next level and expand our scope of locations into the US market. With your help, we hope to assess our customer landscape beyond the demographics we currently cater to by learning about their expectations and behaviors. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Researching the target market in potential new locations. We have highlighted a few states that we feel will be the most effective for us to enter. They include, Florida, Texas, North and South Carolina and Arizona. There are two data sets we are looking to research; the first being golf courses; including; current tee sheets, relationships with golf associations, costs, amenities and location. The second data set is demographic data on golfers in each area; including spending power, proximity, membership, age, etc. Compiling a report including the location analysis, and recommendations on how to best enter each market (ie do we need to join an association, do we need to integrate a particular tee sheet in our system)
