Bio

Dr. Brenda L. Jones is the Program Chair for the BS in Communications program and the Department Chair for Communications, Behavioral, and Natural Sciences. A dedicated innovator, Brenda received the Franklin University Core Values Award for Learning in 2022, the SOCHE Excellence Award, and the Robert L. Bailey Award for graduate teaching.
Brenda earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Communication from the Ohio State University and master’s degrees from OSU and Franklin University in Communication and Business Psychology respectively. Her research explores emotional intelligence and teamwork skills, and best practices for AI in strategic and organizational communications.
