Human Resource Management
MGT 3530
The semester long Human Resource Management class takes one client per semester and develops a complete human resource management plan for the clients. They can focus especially on clients who do not have a comprehensive human resource management plan or whose human resource department would like some advice or suggestions on adjusting their plan. This can also be a great fit for smaller companies that are growing fast and need to implement more HR structure. We do ask that the client have a business they have started or established. The class will be divided into teams with each team focusing on one of possible topics: 1) Overall strategy 2) Recruitment and selection, 3) Performance appraisal 4) Compensation 5) Training 6) Worker engagement 7) Timelines

They can focus especially on clients who do not have a comprehensive human resource management plan or whose human resource department would like some advice or suggestions on adjusting their plan. For example last year, we took a client that did not have any human resource management policies in place and wanted to grow from 200 to 400 employees. The class will be divided into teams with each team focusing on one of the following: 1) Overall strategy 2) Recruitment and selection, 3) Performance appraisal 4) Compensation 5) Training The entire class will then develop and present a thorough timeline for implementation of the above sections.
