The main goal for this project is to setup successful Afri Future Tech Summit. This is our flagship event which happens in-person in Toronto, Canada.


The Afri Future Tech Summit is a unique platform that brings together Canadian and African fintech ecosystems for mutual benefit. Over the past 3 years our event has drawn over 1000 attendees from over 40 countries; for our next summit we will be hosting a hybrid experience at hte University of Toronto's Schwartz Reisman Innovation Campus.


We're an organization that is focused on bringing together diverse stakeholders for equitable exchange; we’re building shared value between Canadian and African stakeholders to achieve a more just and sustainable future.

Deliverables
  • Update and administer our event management template - update start/end dates, liaise internally with Afrifursa team members, refer critical issues to senior Afrifursa staff
  • Onsite event planning - work with other team members to plan execution on all days of the event
  • Stakeholder management – map stakeholders, share marketing collateral with event Partners and Speakers, share exhibitor and speaker guides, refer critical issues to senior Afrifursa staff
  • Miscellaneous – assist with other key functions (egs. marketing, operations, etc.) when/as required


Mentorship

Interns will be supported by the following offered by Afrifursa's Founder and Senior Staff:


  • Onboarding session
  • One weekly check-in meeting
  • Adhoc meetings when requested by the student
  • Regular email correspondence
