Students at Accelerate Her Future will be provided with an opportunity to create a private video repository of all our recorded events, as well as edit, cut, and add transitions to videos and add our company branding. This engagement will give the intern an opportunity to work with a dynamic team within a collaborative environment.

The student will be exposed to a variety of skills and experiences to enhance their knowledge of digital marketing and video editing. We are a young startup and as a career accelerator for students and recent graduates we care deeply about mentorship. We will help our students succeed as much as we want them to help us enhance our digital footprint. We are looking for students who have creative vision, tenacity, drive, and see possibilities in all things and who thrive working independently and in a team setting.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

• Familiarizing themselves with our mission and goals.
• Creating a private video repository.
• Editing and cutting videos from our past events.
• Applying suitable background music.
• Adding text, transitions, and overlays to the video.
• Presenting the video and making edits based on feedback.

Bonus steps in the process would also include:

• Experience using Adobe Premier Pro.
• Recommending ideas and editing tools for future awareness videos.

Who are we looking for? Ideally you have lived experience and ‘insider knowledge’ of the communities we serve at the core of our mission. You are inspired by our mission and like working within a collaborative environment. You value patience, respect, generosity, and good humour in your working relationships. Having an emerging understanding of intersectionality and gender and racial equity principles will be an asset.

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

• Understanding of our mission and goals
• Creation of a private video repository
• Creation of promotional videos.
• Revising the videos based on feedback.

Bonus steps would include:

• Recommending ideas and tools for future videos

Final deliverables should include

• A private repository of all video assets.
• Final promotional videos.

Students will be working directly with AHF's Marketing Team and are required to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement. They will participate in weekly 30-minute project mentorship calls where their questions will be answered.
