We want students to help us build a communication framework for a Canada wide youth-led climate change conference. Our target is to inaugurate the first conference of its kind in Canada this year and a large preparational component is to have a communications toolkit and framework ready. This project is focused on helping to build a communication strategy and toolkit that effectively reaches youth all across Canada for their perspectives about climate change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a communication toolkit strategy that is accessible and easy to use for other youths.
  • Draft copyright communications as part of the strategy
  • Develop graphic assets to support the communication

Projects Goals:

  • Assist our organization to create a toolkit for other youth to use in a Canada wide, youth-led, climate change conference and develop a communication strategy to get youth involved in the conference.

Mentorship

The role will have direct interaction with the lead conference youth organizer with, at minimum, bi-weekly check-ins, the opportunity to draft plans as a team, get feedback through every stage of the process, and an opportunity to reflect and learn lessons through the project. Students will receive mentorship in managing large-scale projects and operating in a work-like environment.
