Details

We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. Most of the content will be geared towards our events including the flagship Afrifursa Fintech Summit.

The Afrifursa Fintech Summit is a unique platform that brings together Canadian and African fintech ecosystems for mutual benefit. This year our virtual event drew over 500 attendees from over 40 countries.

We're an organization that is focused on bringing together diverse stakeholders for equitable exchange; we’re building shared value between Canadian and African stakeholders to achieve a more just and sustainable future.

If you're passionate about exploring the exciting and impactful opportunities between Africa and Canada, then this is for you!

Deliverables

To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will:

  • Research – desktop research on key topics including innovation and fintech
  • Sort and package - sort through our virtual library of video content from previous summits and package appropriately for our various digital platforms.
  • Develop content - from research, past summits, the Founder's speaking engagements, Partners' engagements, trending topics, etc.
  • Draft posts – synthesize research into short, sharp and memorable posts; liaise with Afrifursa SM Manager and Founder for final edits and posting
  • Draft short articles – create short written pieces for social media, blogs and newsletters and other content pieces using Afrifursa video content and transcriptions; liaise with Afrifursa Event Manager for focus areas
  • Manage blog and newsletter - invite guest contributors, edit drafts, post regularly
Mentorship
  • Onboarding session
  • One weekly check-in meeting
  • Adhoc meetings when requested by the student
  • Regular email correspondence
