Details

Our Community Access & Outreach programming have expanded significantly over the past 5 years and the number of contacts we’d like to stay in touch with has equally grown. We are hoping to better organize and utilize our contact list which is currently housed in an Excel spreadsheet and/or on social media. We would like the student to research and provide us with recommendations on how to improve our current processes and support creating a solution that easily allows us to update, track and manage communication with various stakeholders.

Additionally, if an approved solution is created, the student will support us with the data transition and setting up the system for success.

Deliverables
  • Review of our current processes and contact documents to better understand our operations and scope of the work
  • Research and compare various CRMs and/or other viable tools and solutions to achieve the outcome of this project
  • Interpret our operational needs and consult with other staff as needed and appropriate
  • Deliver a recommendation in a brief written report
  • Assist with data input to ensure our contact information is up to date and accurate

Mentorship
  • The supervisor and the student will meet regularly over Microsoft Teams or in-person to discuss resources, determine scope of the assignment and project goals to ensure completion
  • Students will have an opportunity to interact with a broad range of contacts within Hart House

Hart House is a centre for experiential education outside the classroom at the University of Toronto. Since it opened in 1919, Hart House functions as a place where students, faculty, staff, alumni and members of the broader community connect with each other and the world. Through an array of co-curricular programming in the arts, dialogue and wellness, Hart House works with local and international partners to foster community and to create innovative learning opportunities for students. Hart House operates from a historic facility on the St. George campus, offering a wide range of services through a social enterprise model that generates revenue to support its student-focused programming on all three University of Toronto campuses.
