Morphace is a startup that produces data driven mask devices that treats wrinkles and tracks skin condition on a paired app. Morphace aims to refine the aesthetic design of our skincare mask devices to better align with customer preferences and branding. This project will focus on enhancing the mask's visual appeal and ergonomics to increase market competitiveness and customer satisfaction.

Project tasks:

• Market and Design Research: Research competitor products, and speak to users to understand current market trends in design and aesthetics
• Focus Groups Organization: Organizing and conducting focus groups to get live feedback on various design prototypes.
• Prototype Design and Iteration: Utilize software to design and refine mask prototypes. This involves creating detailed 3D models, adjusting designs based on feedback, and understanding the ergonomics and aesthetics involved.
• Graphic Design for Product Visualization: Create visual representations of the mask using graphic design tools like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator to visualize colour, textures and branding elements on the mask.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside founders and engineers to ensure that the design considerations align with engineering constraints and product strategy.
• Design Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, decisions, and iterations. This includes keeping detailed records using design software and project management tools.

The final deliverables include:

• Market research report: A document that includes insights of user preferences of designs / aesthetics, and pain points related to existing products in the market.
• Prototype Designs: A series of CAD files representing initial and revised versions of the mask prototypes.
• Design Iteration Log: A document tracking each iteration of the design, the rationale behind changes, and the feedback that prompted each iteration.
• Visual Design Mockups: A set of high-resolution images or PDFs showcasing the mask’s appearance in various colors, textures, and branding elements.

Students will work directly with startup founders for mentorship and supervision throughout the project. There will be weekly one-on-one meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and next steps, ensuring that interns remain aligned with project goals and receive the support they need to overcome any obstacles.
