planning test execution engine test case manual testing test planning safety assuranceAs we roll out cutting-edge feature sets, we need a few dedicated QA Engineers to ensure they're seamless for our users.
Most manual testing environments have two phases: test planning & test execution.
Your role will primarily involve test execution, with some opportunities for planning.
This will involve:
- Executing detailed test cases
- Identify, document, and prioritize bugs.
- Collaborate with the CPO & dev team for bug resolution.
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Your tasks for every testing cycle will include:
- Receive Test Case from CPO: Review the provided test case documentation for clarity and completeness.
- Setup Testing Environment: Ensure that the test environment mirrors the specifications mentioned in the test case.
- Execute Test Cases: Follow the test steps meticulously, ensuring all steps are carried out as outlined.
- Document Results: Log the outcome of each test step – pass, fail, or inconclusive.
- Identify Bugs: If discrepancies are found, document them with as much detail as possible, including screenshots or recordings.
- Prioritize Bugs: Rank bugs based on severity and potential impact on the end user.
- Collaborate with Developers: Discuss any bugs with the development team to provide context and aid in resolution.
- Re-test Bug Fixes: Once fixes are deployed, re-test to ensure issues are fully resolved.
- Provide Feedback: Offer insights to the CPO about potential improvements or adjustments to the test case.
- Summarize Findings: At the end of the testing cycle, compile a comprehensive report summarizing findings, improvements, and any unresolved issues.
- Update Test Documentation: If any changes or additions were made to the test case during execution, update the master test case documentation.
- Participate in Debrief: Join a debrief session with the CPO and relevant team members to discuss the testing cycle and plan for the next one.
We'll provide students with comprehensive training sessions, detailed documentation, and regular feedback. Additionally, they'll have access to a dedicated mentor for guidance and weekly check-ins to address queries, ensuring they stay on track and feel supported throughout the project.
