Project scope

What is the main goal for this project?

The platform is currently an MVP that is directed at [INSERT PERSONA/USER]. Wireframes exist, and they are seeking design support to create a streamlined, easy to use portal for the three distinct personas [INSERT] that need to utilize our platform.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

  • Project Plan-Identify milestones and set a timeline for the project
  • Get oriented to existing analysis and data- Understand the feedback and knowledge that already exists about the platform, and identify gaps to be filled in the next stage.
  • UX Research- Conduct research to better understand painpoints in the most recent design and identify opportunities for a more streamlined user experience. Are there direct or indirect competitors that accomplish a similar goal well? Draw inspiration or use those insights as a point of differentiation.
  • Design Recommendations- Synthesize your findings and make re-design recommendations to showcase what this experience could be. Begin by creating the priority flow(s) for the priority persona(s) and then iterate to bring the designs to a higher level of fidelity.
  • Finalize- Handoff all deliverables and findings in a package that allows for your work to be easily understood and incorporated into future projects.

How will you support learners in completing the project?

  • Preparation of any relevant resources and assets in advance of the kick off call
  • With a regular weekly check-in call
  • Reasonably responsive throughout the collaboration to unsure progress is not blocked.
  • Allow the learners to share the work they do for us in job search materials
